European Passive Components Institute was invited to introduce the Institute objectives at the European Space Components Conference ESCCON 2016 that took place on March 1 – 3 at ESA/ESTEC, Nordwijk, Netherlands. More than 150 attendees acknowledged presentation of EPCI president Tomas Zednicek about the EPCI support tools to European passive components and it is benefits for European space projects.
The ESA ESCCON conference is an international forum open to all specialists involved in the development, selection, procurement and use of EEE (Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical) components in space systems. Presentations are made by invited speakers only.
Discussions are addressing areas such as standardisation, new technology insertion and validation test methods, harmonisation of needs, investments and funding, availability and sustainability on the basis of project lifecycle, industrial experience and expectations for future evolution.

- Space Component policies
- Reliability and Radiation
- Hardness Assurance
- Selection of component technology
- Component specifics, experience with COTS, Quality Assurance and Standardisation
- International Legal regulations affecting EEE components.
