Juli 2019 in München veranstalten.

Passive components might be dealt with at universities and colleges in lectures on fundamentals, but in most cases only their idealized characteristics and not the true ones. So when young engineers come up against the real world they are often surprised – but not only them. In fact passive components alter their characteristics for virtually all parameters nonlinearly, and as a function of the circuit. And because an experienced senior development manager may already have quit the scene or soon will, many companies lack expertise on these often underestimated basic elements of electrical engineering.

Remedying this situation is the objective of the user forum Passive Components to be staged by Markt&Technik and DESIGN&ELEKTRONIK on July 2nd/3rd, 2019 in Munich. This event provides circuit developers and technical purchasers with the most important basics on passive components so that they can once again become more familiar and confident when dealing with capacitors and other passive components.

The conference is mainly in German with some English presentations.

We look forward to your proposed papers. Here are a few suggestions for subjects:

  • Models of resistors, capacitors and inductors
  • Advantages and drawbacks of different models
  • Materials
  • Features dependent on material and model (frequency, temperature and voltage)
  • Aging
  • Losses
  • Electromagnetic compatibility
  • Electrical Assembly and Joining Technology (Packaging)
  • Integration of Passive Components into PCBs or Modules
  • Interaction with Active Components and ICs
  • Standards
  • Case studies

Until December 17, 2018 you have an opportunity of contributing to the program of the event.
Please only submit papers of technical interest, papers dealing with technology – we cannot accept suggestions aimed at your products, with a marketing or advertising focus.
