The latest added value for customers of the manufacturer of electronic and electromechanical components is the worldwide “Re-Reeling Service”.
If the customer orders small quantities of components, these belt sections can now be offered on reel with leader and trailer to the component belt. Customers benefit from labor and time savings and can also process small quantities of components for prototypes and small series immediately and efficiently with SMT pick-and-place machines.
The specialists at Würth Elektronik know the structures and needs of their customers inside out and are constantly developing new services and products to make their daily work easier. So, the component manufacturer distinguishes itself through its wide range of additional services, such as the availability of all catalog products from stock, delivery of free samples, or its small quantity service. Developing and medium-sized companies, in particular, use these services to shorten project times and save costs.
With re-reeling, a further service is now added for orders of reel articles under packaging unit size: Customers can now order individual component quantities in belt sections on a reel with at least 40 cm leader and a trailer. So the components can be placed immediately with SMT machines.
Background: In the case of the belt sections supplied to date, splicing the leader and trailer either had to be carried out by the customers themselves or outsourced to an external service provider. The new re-reeling service saves customers time and work. They can also set up small quantities of components immediately in SMT production.
