Chip PTC Thermistors Can Detect Overheating During Wireless Power Transfer; Murata Video

Murata introduces Chip PTC Thermistor (POSISTOR™) that can be used for heat monitoring during wireless power electricity supply.

The video demonstrates using POSISTOR™ to detect abnormal overheating during the wireless power transfer caused by a foreign metal object. In our video the overheating is simulated by a heated metallic pad element placed on a wireless electromagnetic field charging board while non-contact electricity supply of an EV and PHEV is detected and operating.
