Murata Opens New Ceramic Capacitor Manufacturing and R&D Center in Japan

Fukui Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a manufacturing subsidiary of Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd., commenced the construction of the Ceramic Capacitor R&D Center in November 2023.

The construction is now complete, and a grand opening ceremony was held on Thursday, February 5, 2026. The center is scheduled to officially open its doors on Monday, March 30, 2026.

The establishment of the Ceramic Capacitor R&D Center is driven by Murata’s commitment to enhancing its technological prowess in the development and manufacturing of ceramic capacitors, its core business.

By creating a state-of-the-art research and development environment, Murata aims to foster advanced R&D activities and nurture a skilled workforce of engineers. Additionally, the center will collaborate with other Murata sites and partner companies to strengthen Murata’s manufacturing capabilities throughout the entire product development and mass production process.
