Stackpole Releases Automotive High Voltage Thin Film Chip Resistors

Stackpole introduces its RNCV automotive grade high voltage thin film SMD chip resistors that offer low VCR.

High voltage applications frequently require high voltage resistors with high accuracy for voltage division, monitoring, and control. Resistance stability over voltage, or VCR, may become an issue for precision applications.

Stackpole’s RNCV series provides an automotive grade, high precision, high stability chip resistor with VCR less than ± 1.5 ppm per volt. The RNCV is available in resistance values from 160K to 3.01M, in tolerances as low as 0.1% and TCR as low as 25 ppm.

Thin film resistor technology provides excellent electrical and environmental stability, with the RNCV having low resistance shifts under industry standard tests such as load life, damp heat with load, temperature cycling, and short time overload. The RNCV is also anti-sulfur.

This precision high voltage performance is ideal for applications such as high voltage power supplies, voltage dividers, and a variety of medical applications such as patient monitoring, medical imaging, instrumentation, defibrillators. It is also well suited for test and analysis applications, data acquisition’ communication, and monitoring.

Pricing varies with size, tolerance, TCR and resistance.
