Stackpole Offers Affordable Current Sense Chip Resistors

Stackpole Electronics introduces versatile cost efficient CSR / CSRN series thick film current sense resistors.

Stackpole Electronics, a leading provider of passive electronic components, announces the launch of its CSR / CSRN series of thick film current sense resistors.

Engineered to meet the evolving demands of low-power electronics, consumer devices, lighting systems, and security or detection equipment, these resistors are the ideal solution for power monitoring and control applications.

Unlike applications that demand ultra-low resistance values, stringent precision tolerances, or minimal temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR), the CSR / CSRN series emphasizes flexibility in form factor and cost-effectiveness. This makes them particularly suitable for prototyping and rapid product development.

The CSR / CSRN series features an extensive range of resistance values—from 3 milliohms to 7.5 ohms—depending on the package size. Tolerances are available as low as 1%, ensuring reliable performance across various applications. The series supports a wide array of package sizes, from compact 0201 (rated at 0.05 W) to the larger 1225 with long-sided terminations and a power rating of up to 3 W.
