This varistor, with approximately five times higher surge current capability compared to a standard multilayer varistor of the same case size (2220), is specifically designed for circuit board applications in harsh environmental conditions.
It offers excellent transient energy absorption due to improved energy volume distribution and power dissipation, making it an ideal choice for protecting integrated circuits and other components.
The ZV50S2220452NIR1 is available with a rated voltage of U50 Vrms and a surge current capability of 4500 A, packaged in a 2220 SMD package.
