Low-voltage (LV), automotive Power Distribution Systems facilitate the controlled transport of energy from the sources to all LV loads of the vehicle. The LV power distribution system is therefore an essential part of the vehicle E/E architecture.
As a consequence of mega trends such as the “Software-defined Vehicle”, Electromobility and the introduction of X-by-wire & ADAS/AD functions, the LV power distribution system is being electrified by means of Smart Power Switches. These semiconductor-based devices, sometimes also referred to as “e-Fuses”, enable ASIL-D power supply and bring along other benefits, such as online diagnostics and resetability, ultimately enabling the shift to zone architectures. However, such a system needs more than just e-Fuses. Every semiconductor implies the need for passive components such as inductors. To build a winning Power Distribution System, engineers require a multitude of active and passive components.
Join this webinar to learn how Würth Elektronik and Infineon support you in the development of your Power Distribution System.
