ESA Releases New Issue 227 of ESCC QUALIFIED PART LIST (QPL)

ESA ESCC Executive publishes a list of components and technologies which have been, respectively, qualified and capability approved to the rules of the ESCC Specification System and the results certified by ESA. April 2022 issue 227 of the ESCC qualified part list has been issued.

These components and technologies are intended for use in ESA and other European spacecraft and Space segment hardware in accordance with the requirements defined in the ECSS Standard, ECSS-Q-ST-60, Space Product Assurance – Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical (EEE) Components.

April 2022 issue 227 of the ESCC qualified part list updates:

1. Extensions 

the validity date of the certificate is extended and the scope is not changed, which means no new components are included:

ESA Qualified Tantalum Solid Capacitors

  • Certificate 366A from Kyocera AVX (Czech Republic). This certificate lists Tantalum Solid Capacitor based on type TCS, included in the detail specification ESCC 3012/006.

ESA Qualified RF Coaxial Wires

  • Certificate 255M from L. Gore (Germany). This certificate lists RF Coaxial, and Triaxial Wires based on types GCX, GTX, GSC, and GBL, included in the detail specification ESCC 3902/002.

ESA Qualified SAW Filters

  • Certificate 313E from Kongsberg Space (Norway). This certificate lists SAW Filters included in the detail specification ESCC 3502/002.

2. Revisions

the validity date of the certificate is the same, and the scope is changed:

ESA Qualified PCB Connectors

  • Certificates 99Rrev1 and 149Prev1 from Smith Interconnect (France). These certificates list PCB Connectors based on HE801 and KMC, included in the detail specifications ESCC 3401/016, ESCC 3401/017, and ESCC 3401/039. This revision added an assembly line to the PID in Genoa (Italy).
