Samsung Electro-Mechanics Releases 2200pF 630V C0G Automotive MLCC in 0805 Size

Samsung Electro-Mechanics has developed and started mass production of the CL21C222JHY3PN#, an automotive MLCC in 0805-inch size (2.0×1.25mm), C0G (-55 to 125°C), at high rated voltage of 630V, and a capacitance of 2200pF.

With the development of the X-in-1 Powertrain for electric vehicles, there is an increasing trend toward the integration of power electronics systems in vehicles, including OBC, inverter, DC-DC converter, wireless charging (WPT), battery management system (BMS), compressor, and pump.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics Releases 165C Automotive 0806 Size Power Inductors

This has led to a growing demand for highly integrated, high-density, and compact components used in the powertrain.  

The newly introduced MLCC maintains the same capacitance and rated voltage as existing 1206-inch (3.2×1.6mm) products while reducing its size to 0805-inch (2.0×1.25mm). This advancement meets the requirements for compact, high-capacitance designs, high-temperature (125℃), and voltage stability within these applications. 

Samsung Electro-Mechanics has expanded its product coverage to the 0805-inch (2.0×1.25mm) size, rated at 630V and 2200pF capacitance by applying its proprietary ceramic and electrode material atomization technology, as well as ultra-precision lamination methods.
