TAIYO YUDEN announces construction of a newplant at TAIYO YUDEN SARAWAK (Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia) meeting increasing demand for Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors.
Our outlook sees demand for multilayer ceramic capacitors expanding further in response to the advancement of technologies for automobiles with more electrical and electronically controlled components, communications infrastructures such as servers and base station communication devices, 5G smartphones, and other markets.
The construction of the new plant at the TAIYO YUDEN (SARAWAK) is based on our medium-term growth strategy and is part of our efforts to construct a production system that will satisfy growing market demand. TAIYO YUDEN (SARAWAK) is one of the TAIYO YUDEN Group’s production overseas sites for multilayer ceramic capacitors.
The construction of this new plant is an investment under the Group’s Medium-term Management Plan 2025. The new plant will be a state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly plant that will contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases through energy conservation by improving the efficiency of various facilities and energy creation by introducing solar power generation on the roof of the building. While developing electronic parts that support the advancement of electronic devices, TAIYO YUDEN will aim to ensure that customers receive stable supplies in a timely manner.
