Introducing the FMW Fusible MELF Wirewound Resistors and the HSMW High Surge MELF Wirewound Resistors.

Both product lines feature a compact 0309 size, rated at 1W, and offer UL1412 failsafe fusing for up to 240V. The FMW series is optimized for rapid fusing performance, while the HSMW series is engineered to endure larger inrush currents and power line surges.

Key Features and Benefits:

  • Compact Design: 9 x 3.5mm footprint conserves PCB space compared to traditional lead-formed SMD (Z-form) resistors.
  • Failsafe Protection: Rapid line voltage fusing mitigates fire risks in the event of power supply input circuit faults.
  • Robust Performance: Short-term overload rating up to 6.25W for 5 seconds and high energy capacity up to 6.5J.
  • Surge Resilience: Capable of withstanding high inrush currents and lightning strike surges up to 3.5kV.

These advanced protection resistors empower design engineers to reduce product size and cost without compromising on safety and reliability.
