As is the case with many electronic designs, high voltage applications are moving toward components in smaller case sizes, while still requiring voltages from 500 V to as high as 8 kV.
Vishay’s HV Series of MLCCs already offers products with ratings up to the 8 kV level in a 3640 case size. Now we’ve extended their available case sizes down to 1206 with voltage ratings as high as 2 kV.
In addition, As with existing HV Series products, devices in the extended range also offer a robust serial electrode design, as well as a polymer termination option to mitigate board-flex issues.
