DATAPOINT OF THE WEEK: S&P reported Dec US flash mfg PMI of 48.3 vs 49.7 in November reflecting a pullback in future expectations tied to worries over impact of tariffs and inflation and the steepest fall in mfg output since May 2020.
S&P also reported Eurozone Dec flash mfg PMI remained unchanged M/M at 45.2 reflecting an accelerating drop in new orders, output purchasing activity, and employment which was offset by an uptick in future expectations. S&P reported Germany Dec flash mfg PMI of 42.5 vs 43.0 in November.
