Bourns Unveils New Semi-shielded Power Inductors

2.5.2023
Reading Time: 2 mins read
A A

Bourns Magnetics Product Line is introducing the new model SRN3010C and SRN6028C Series semi-shielded power inductors.

Constructed with a magnetic-silica coating on the perimeter of the inductor winding to provide effective shielding, these inductors release lower magnetic field radiation compared to non-shielded inductors.

The Model SRN3010C and SRN6028C Series have an operating temperature range from -40 to +125 °C that is well suited for DC-DC converters and power supplies in consumer, industrial and telecom applications.

The Model SRN3010C and SRN6028C Series are possible alternatives to the Model SRN3010 and SRN6028 Semi-shielded Inductor Series. Note the form, fit and function of the alternate inductors are not identical to the Model SRN3010 and SRN6028 inductors.

However, the specifications of the Model SRN3010C and SRN6028C are likely to be substitutable for typical applications of the Model SRN3010 and SRN6028 Series. As
with any alternative replacements, we highly recommend that customers test the possible alternative in their specific applications for verification of satisfactory performance.
Samples of the Model SRN3010C and SRN6028C Series are available upon request.

Features

  • Semi-shielded construction
  • Inductance range:
    • 1 to 47 µH (SRN3010C)
    • 0.9 to 120 µH (SRN6028C)
  • Rated current up to:
    • 3.4 A (SRN3010C)
    • 7.8 A (SRN6028C)
  • RoHS compliant and halogen free

Applications

  • DC-DC converters
  • Power supplies in consumer, industrial and telecom electronics
