binder introduces its comprehensive range of circular connectors including the latest addition of special flange components to its PBC 15 industrial connectors.

In today’s demanding industrial applications, compact and robust connectors are essential for reliable high-current and high-voltage transmission. Binder, a leading provider of circular connectors, offers a comprehensive solution with its special flange components. These components seamlessly integrate with the PBC15 cable connector, enabling tailored solutions for a diverse range of applications, particularly in drive technology.

When high currents and voltages must be transmitted in confined spaces, the PBC15 connector system stands out. Philipp Zuber, Product Manager at Binder, highlights its suitability for applications requiring the transmission of power and signals via a cable. The option for shielding further enhances its appeal for applications demanding signal integrity or electromagnetic transmission.

The connector has demonstrated its reliability in the industry, supplying three-phase motors, asynchronous motors, and frequency inverters. Its exceptional properties make it well-suited for drive technology, automation technology, intralogistics, and mechanical engineering, including applications such as fans, pumps, and packaging machines.

The newly introduced flange components further augment the PBC15 system’s advantages by facilitating seamless connections for secure power and signal transmission.

Available as flange plugs and flange sockets (with a locking mechanism), these components are offered in unshielded plastic versions and shielded versions incorporating metal components. They feature standard wire cross-sections of 1.5 mm² and 2.5 mm², along with wire lengths of 250 mm, enabling current transmission of up to 16 A at 630 V. The PBC15 flange components incorporate an M20x1.5 mounting thread, which can be directly mounted in the customer-specific housing or in the device or motor housing using a locknut. A quick locking mechanism can be achieved with a ¼ turn.

The standardized flange components are cross-manufacturer compatible according to DIN EN IEC 61076-2-116, ensuring maximum flexibility and compatibility.
