Evans Group Unifies Four High-Rel Capacitor Leaders

5.6.2026
Reading Time: 4 mins read
A A

Evans Group has introduced a unified brand identity that brings together four established high-reliability capacitor manufacturers—Evans, Paktron, UTC, and Eulex—under a single customer-facing umbrella, targeting mission-critical aerospace, defense, space, medical, and industrial applications.

Evans Group now serves as the overarching brand for four specialist capacitor businesses: Evans, Paktron, UTC, and Eulex. The new structure is designed to give engineers a single point of access to a broad portfolio of high-reliability capacitor technologies for mission-critical systems across aerospace, defense, space, medical, and demanding industrial environments.

A Single Brand, Multiple Specialized Technologies

By uniting these formerly separate brands, Evans Group aims to simplify technology selection and comparison across different capacitor types and form factors. Engineers can now explore hybrid wet tantalum, multilayer polymer film, multilayer ceramic, and high-frequency ceramic capacitor solutions through one coordinated technical and commercial interface.

Evans: Hybrid Wet Tantalum Capacitors

Evans (formerly Quantic Evans) focuses on hybrid wet tantalum capacitors known for their very high energy and power density, delivering substantial SWaP optimization compared to conventional capacitor technologies. These capacitors are widely used in radar, pulsed power, power hold-up, and other demanding defense and aerospace power electronics where reliability and compactness are critical.

Paktron: Multilayer Polymer Film Capacitors

Paktron (formerly Quantic Paktron) specializes in multilayer polymer film capacitors, offering stable capacitance, low ESR, and robust performance in harsh operating conditions. These devices target applications such as power conversion, EMI filtering, and automotive or industrial electronics where long-term reliability and surge robustness are required.

UTC: High-Reliability MLCCs and Leaded Devices

UTC (formerly Quantic UTC) designs and manufactures high-reliability multilayer ceramic capacitors and leaded devices in a DLA MIL-PRF-39014 and MIL-PRF-55681–approved facility in Monterey Park, California. Its portfolio serves military and aerospace power electronics, space, medical, and other mission-critical systems that demand tight process control, lot traceability, and established reliability screening.

Eulex: High-Frequency RF and Microwave Capacitors

Eulex (formerly Quantic Eulex) delivers advanced ceramic capacitors optimized for high-frequency, microwave, millimeter-wave, and 5G applications. These components are engineered for ultra-low loss, broadband performance, and high volumetric efficiency in RF front ends, microwave modules, and high-frequency signal chains.

Benefits for Design Engineers and OEMs

For design engineers, the Evans Group consolidation means a single technical partner can now support capacitor selection across a wide range of dielectric systems, package styles, and voltage/temperature requirements. OEMs and integrators in aerospace, defense, space, medical, and industrial markets benefit from streamlined engagement, consistent quality systems, and coordinated program support across all four product families.

Focus on Mission-Critical Reliability

All four brands share a focus on high-reliability capacitors manufactured in U.S.-based facilities with quality systems aligned to demanding defense and aerospace requirements. This combined portfolio targets mission-critical applications where component failure is not acceptable, from avionics and radar to medical equipment and rugged industrial power electronics.
