CapV is a 5G microelectronics company that specializes in robust AI-enabled reconfigurable microchips for better spectrum efficiency, bandwidth, and latency. The company’s products include thin-film varactors and reconfigurable antennas, among others.

Modelithics and CapV have collaborated to develop new Microwave Global Models™ for three varactor chips in series and shunt configurations. These varactor models are validated by measurements performed from DC to 67 GHz.

Each model is scalable with respect to both bias and temperature (+25 to +85°C). Also included are parameters for capacitance and resistance tolerance. These components are intended to be used as tuning elements for reconfigurable RF/microwave circuits such as filters and resonators.
