Murata expands multilayer ceramic capacitor production capacity at Fukui factory

Fukui Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a manufacturing subsidiary of Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. located in Echizen, Fukui Prefecture, has acquired a new site to expand production capacity.

What Track Width To Use When Routing PCB

Preparation of the site for development will start in June 2018 and construction of the new production building in September 2018. The construction of the new facility is intended to increase production capacity for ceramic multilayer capacitors in order to respond to increased demand.

 Area:  58,624㎡
 Period of acquisition: June 2018
 Total area of Fukui Murata Manufacturing site with acquisition of new site (Not including   Miyazaki Plant): 182,811㎡

 Construction / Size: Steel framework construction (Part steel-reinforced concrete); six stories above ground
 Site scheduled for   construction: Area on west side of Fukui Murata Manufacturing
 Total floor area: Production facility: 54,144㎡
Energy facility:4,166㎡
Building area: Production facility: 9,295㎡
Energy facility: 1,800㎡
 Construction period: Start of preparation of site: June 2018
Start of building construction: September 2018
Completion: Scheduled for the end of December 2019
 Total investment: 29 billion yen (Building only)
