Samsung Electro-Mechanics Releases 150C 0201 1.0uF 4V MLCC in X8M for Automotive SSD

Samsung Electro-Mechanics has applied their proprietary technology in ceramic dielectric and electrode material fine-particle manufacturing and ultra-precision stacking to develop the 0201 inch (0.6×0.3mm) X8M (-55 to 150°C) MLCC ceramic capacitor, rated at 4V and 1uF.

The product is now in mass production. Samples are available upon request.

The demand for MLCCs per vehicle is increasing significantly due to the electrification and functional enhancement of vehicles.

Miniaturization, high-temperature capability, and expanded capacitance for MLCCs are essential.

The product, a compact high-capacitance multilayer ceramic capacitor, CL03M105MRR6PN#, is specialized for Automotive SSD (Solid State Drive) applications.

By expanding the coverage from the 125°C lineup to 150°C, it meets the high reliability and high-efficiency processing demands of high-performance SSDs.

Application Example Automotive SSD (Solid State Drive)

Following the advancement of automotive architecture systems, the demand for the enhanced quality and performance of storage devices is rising. The adoption of high-efficiency/performance SSDs is increasing, as high computing power and communication technologies are essential for next-generation applications like ADAS and IVI. 

Samsung Electro-Mechanics offers the X8*, 0603 inch and smaller MLCC series, which contribute to design space optimization and power stabilization in these applications.
