Samsung Electro-Mechanics Releases X7R High Voltage Automotive MLCC

Samsung Electro-Mechanics announces the release of its new automotive MLCC ceramic capacitors in 1812 inch (4.5×3.2mm) dimensions, X7R dielectric (-55 to 125℃), rated voltage range of 250V~2000V, capacitance range of 2.2nF~470nF.

With the prevailing trend towards higher-voltage applications in electric vehicles, high-voltage is being applied to various vehicular power electronic components, including onboard chargers (OBC), electric vehicle motor drive inverters, DC-DC converters, wireless power transfer systems (WPT), battery management systems (BMS), compressors, and pumps. Consequently, there is an increasing demand for high-voltage multilayer ceramic capacitors.

In addressing these requirements, Samsung Electro-Mechanics has improved the bending strength in larger sizes by utilizing proprietary ceramics, micronizing materials, and leveraging soft termination technologies to meet high voltage demands while simultaneously enhancing the bending strength in the large 1812 inch (4.5×3.2mm) format.

This development extends the product coverage from the existing 1210-inch size to the 1812-inch size.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics has developed and started mass production of CL43B222KJRRPJ#, CL43B224KHU6PJ#, CL43B474KEU6PJ#. Samples of these models are available upon request.
