The ix Industrial™, renowned for its high-speed communication capabilities in industrial equipment, now offers enhanced durability without compromising on its signature compact size and robust performance.

This latest iteration ensures stable communication in demanding environments such as manufacturing sites with high humidity and dust, significantly improving design flexibility and wiring efficiency.

Revolutionizing Industrial Equipment with Superior Waterproof and Dustproof Performance

First introduced in 2017 through a collaboration with Germany’s HARTING Technology Group, the ix Industrial™ has become the connector of choice across factory automation (FA), robotics, machine vision, and Ethernet-based systems. Its compact size and high durability have earned it widespread adoption among leading industrial equipment manufacturers globally.

Traditional RJ45 waterproof connectors are often bulky, posing challenges in space-constrained environments. Hirose has addressed this by introducing a waterproof version of the ix Industrial™ Series. This new version maintains a significantly smaller form factor compared to RJ45 connectors and offers IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof performance when mated—ideal for a variety of industrial applications.

Key Features:

  • IP65/IP67 Waterproof and Dustproof: Maintains stable connections in challenging environments with optional dust caps.
  • Universal Compatibility: Designed to work seamlessly with all existing ix Industrial™ receptacles, simplifying design processes.
  • Space-Efficient Design: Optimized flange layout supports high-density mounting.
  • Easy Operation: A push-pull locking mechanism with a double-lock feature ensures secure and reliable connections.
  • Versatile Cable Support: Compatible with AWG 22–28 cables to meet diverse application requirements.

Future Innovations:

Hirose plans to expand the ix Industrial™ series with new variations, including high-current models, to meet evolving industrial equipment demands.
