KOA Speer Introduces High Reliability, Ultra Precision Metal Film Chip Resistors

Bradford, PA – May 2, 2019 – KOA Speer Electronics has developed the new high reliability RN73R series metal film chip resistors to meet the demanding requirements of high heat and high moisture applications.

These new resistors provide improved electrolytic corrosion resistance and high stability compared to KOA’s existing RN73 thin film resistors. The RN73R offers excellent heat tolerance with an operational temperature range of -55°C ~ +155°C and a rated ambient temperature of +85°C, as well as improved moisture tolerance of 85% for 1,000 hours at 85°C.

Power ratings and sizes for the new RN73R are 0.063W (0402), 0.1W(0603), 0.125W (0805), and 0.25W (1206) with a resistance range of 10 ~ 1.5MΩ, resistance tolerances ranging from ±0.05% ~ ±1% and T.C.R.s of ±5, ±10, ±25, ±50 and ±100ppm/°C.

New RN73R series metal film flat chip resistors are ideal for applications that demand high reliability such as automotive electronics, industrial devices, medical devices, gain adjustment resistors for OP amp circuits, and dividers for power supply voltage monitors.

The RN73R series of resistors meet EU-RoHS requirements. Samples are available upon request.
