Ohmcraft Celebrates Record Year of Growth

ROCHESTER, NY, USA, April 3, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — For the second consecutive year, Ohmcraft—a leader in thick-film, high-voltage, precision resistor design and manufacturing—is celebrating record revenue growth. As the company’s fiscal year comes to a close, its sales have increased by more than 20 percent in each of the past two consecutive years.

Ohmcraft has experienced rising demand for its reliable, high-quality resistors in a variety of markets, particularly within the aerospace, security and medical industries. In 2017, multiple NASA programs relied on Ohmcraft’s high-voltage resistors in missions like the Mars 2020 Rover, and the JUICE (JUpiter ICy Moons Explorer) Europa Clipper spacecraft. There was also a large increase in demand to support airport security equipment, as well as medical patient monitoring and defibrillator equipment.

“At Ohmcraft, we have the ability to manufacture high precision, high voltage, custom resistors to meet the specific needs of our customers’ unique applications. We help them tackle challenges that no one else can,” said Eric Van Wormer, Vice President of the Ohmcraft division of Micropen Technologies. “While we have expanded our production volume, we have maintained our standards of providing an exceptional level of service and competitive turnaround times. To support its recent growth and position the company for additional capacity and capabilities, Ohmcraft recently shared that it has made more than $500,000 in capital investments at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

Ohmcraft’s technology utilizes the proprietary Micropen electronic printing system to print precise, narrow, serpentine lines with resistive ink on a ceramic substrate, producing higher performance resistors over a wider range of values on a smaller surface area than is possible with conventional film resistor technology.
