Electronics Supply Chain Weekly Digest 8-7-26.
DATAPOINT OF THE WEEK: S&P reported July Eurozone mfg PMI increase to 51.9 from 51.4 in June, remaining in expansion for the sixth consecutive month, with production rising at its fastest rate in 4.5 years , though new order growth was minimal and raises concerns that the strong production growth may be short lived.
Germany’s July mfg PMI soared to 52.2 from 50.3 in June, remaining in expansion as production, similar to the Eurozone PMI, rose at its fastest rate in 4.5 years, with a notable improvement in export sales. S&P reported US mfg PMI did not change in July from the 53.9 reported in June, marking the twelfth straight month of expansion but production rose slower than previous month driven by third straight month of weakened growth in new orders.
ISM US mfg PMI rose to 55.6 from 53.3 in June. RatingDog China mfg PMI declined to 50.9 from 51.7 in June, but the eighth straight month of expansion and, as the pace of new order and output growth continued to decelerate to four-month lows. China’s Government mfg PMI declined into contraction territory of 49.2 from 50.3 in June.
