In this video, Modelithics discusses the design of a discrete-based low-noise amplifier (LNA) with an example of the input capacitor and inductor selection to meet the required S-characteristics.
This single-stage LNA features the TAV2-14LN+ enhancement-mode pseudomorphic high-electron-mobility transistor (E-pHEMT) from Mini-Circuits. The LNA is designed using Keysight Technologies’ Advanced Design System (ADS) software combined with Modelithics models for all components.
