Samsung Electro-Mechanics Unveils 0603 Automotive Power Inductors

23.9.2024
Reading Time: 2 mins read
A A

Samsung Electro-Mechanics have introduced three new ultra-compact power SMD inductors for automotive use, featuring a 0603 inch (1.6×0.8mm) size. Samples are also available upon request.

These inductors have been developed to meet the high current and high-efficiency requirements of applications such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) in the automotive market. They offer excellent electrical performance and reliability even in space-constrained environments.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics has expanded its product range from the existing 1210 to 0805-inch sizes down to the 0603-inch size by incorporating a thin-film coil structure, which enables low DC resistance and high-rated current, while simultaneously achieving high efficiency, using proprietary magnetic core materials.

This product meets the operational temperature range (-40℃ to 125℃), rated voltage of 40V, and AEC-Q200 reliability standards, thanks to its differentiated powder coating for insulation and enhanced bonding strength of external electrodes.
