The most modern means of production, highly qualified and motivated personnel and the proximity to the Eastern European market have made the Czech Republic a fundamental source of production of electronic components in the SCHURTER Group. The new plant in Železný Brod was of great importance.
The new plant in Železný Brod was put into operation in mid-December 2016 after successful completion of all tests. In a first phase, parts of the production were transferred from Lucerne to the new plant. Introduced processes that have the prototype and development status behind them. This created space at the location of the parent company, where the main part of the research and development department is located.
The relocation of production follows the long-term strategy of SCHURTER to bundle well-established production processes in the Czech Republic. The aim of this strategy is to optimize production flows, save logistics costs and eliminate deviations in production.
Managing Director Jaroslav Marx emphasises: “The relocation of the production facilities went according to schedule and excellent results have already been achieved in the production area. We now have sufficient production space at our disposal to be able to react quickly to fluctuating market requirements”.
