Stackpole Expands Anti-Corrosive Anti-Sulfur Thin Film Chip Resistors

Stackpole Electronics Inc. announces the expansion of its RNCS-AS series, specifically designed to overcome the limitations of conventional nichrome thin film chip resistors.

While standard nichrome resistors are highly valued for their precision, stability, and reliability, they are susceptible to corrosion from moisture and sulfur, which can restrict their use in demanding environments.

Stackpole Releases AlN High‑Power Thick Film Chip Resistors

The RNCS-AS resistor series addresses these challenges with proprietary design and advanced materials, offering exceptional resistance to humidity and corrosive conditions. This latest update introduces the compact sulfur resistant resistors in 0402 chip size and extends the resistance range from 10 ohms to 221K ohms, available in a wide selection of tolerance and TCR options.

This expansion is a significant step in supporting the growing need for precision components in next-generation, space-constrained electronics.
