TDK Acoustic components: Extended range of SAW filters and duplexers for small cell applications

TDK Corporation has extended its range of EPCOS SAW filters and duplexers for small cell applications. The new components are available for all standard bands and cover the frequency range from 770 MHz to 2.7 GHz. With a signal strength of 24 dBm in the Tx-path at the antenna, a useful life of 100,000 hours is achieved in the continuous downlink transmission mode at an operating temperature of 55 °C. Apart from the standard filter versions for uplink and downlink, special types are also available: for example, a filter for the Band 7 uplink whose filter characteristics are designed for coexistence with WiFi.
The duplexers are available in the standard size 2520 packages, while the individual filters are available in size 1411. Special filters such as the 2-in-1 versions for GSM or those with a diplex output are offered in case size 1814. The components are RoHS-compatible and are suitable for lead-free soldering in accordance with J-STD20C.
