Vishay Introduces AEC-Q200 Qualified MKP1848e DC-Link Film Capacitor for Harsh Environments.

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of its new AEC-Q200 qualified MKP1848e DC-Link metallized polypropylene film capacitor, engineered to deliver exceptional performance in the demanding conditions of automotive, energy, and industrial applications.

The MKP1848e capacitor is designed to operate at high temperatures up to +125 °C and has successfully passed Grade III THB testing, ensuring robust performance under high humidity. This makes it an ideal choice for applications requiring high reliability and durability.

Key features of the MKP1848e include:

  • Enhanced Performance: The device offers 25% higher ripple current density compared to previous-generation solutions, maintaining the same volume. Its compact footprint and pitch options allow for volume reductions of up to 40% and 15% at 500 VDC and 900 VDC, respectively.
  • High Voltage Compatibility: The MKP1848e meets the standard high voltage levels required for electric vehicles (EV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV).

Availability: Samples and production quantities of the MKP1848e are available immediately, with lead times of 10 weeks.
