Current sensing for high efficiency can be done easily and economically using current sense resistors. As resistance values are reduced, the measurement error due to lead resistance becomes more of a problem. For applications desiring high efficiency with the best possible temperature accuracy, four terminal current sensing products are the ideal choice.
Stackpole’s HCSK series is available in sizes from 1216, 2725 and 4026, in power ratings from 2W to 5W and resistance values from 0.5 to 5 milliohm. With a TCR of 50 ppm combined with the four-terminal connection, the HCSK provides sensing output with very low temperature measurement error.
Stackpole’s CSSK series is now available in the 3637 size in addition to the 0612 size previously offered. With power ratings of 3W and 1W respectively, and resistance values from 0.5 to 5 milliohm, the CSSK is also an ideal choice for precision current sensing.
