Samsung Electro-Mechanics Extends Automotive MLCC Offering by 1nF 50V C0G in 0402 Package

Samsung Electro-Mechanics expands its offering of automotive MLCC ceramic capacitors in 0402 inch (1.0×0.5mm) size with C0G dielectric (-55 to 125℃) capacitance of 1nF at rated 50V.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics has developed and started mass production of CL05C102JB51PN#, a MLCC multilayer ceramic capacitor for temperature compensation that can be utilized in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving (AD) of automobiles.

This product has expanded the capacitance from 220pF to 1000pF in the 0402 inch size, C0G, and 50V rated lineup. 

The number of MLCCs installed in a vehicle is rapidly increasing due to the electrification and high functionality of automobiles. For this reason, miniaturization, stability, and capacitance expansion of MLCC are continuously required.

In response, Samsung Electro-Mechanics applied its own ceramic and electrode material atomization and ultra-precise lamination method to develop a C0G 1000pF product with a size of 0402 inch (1.0×0.5mm) and a 50V rating.
