Bourns announces high heat tolerant thick film resistor series in a compact TO-227 package.
The PF2270 Series power film resistors provide superior power dissipation and thermal efficiency for motor drives, power conversion and battery energy storage systems.
Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, today announced a new thick film resistor series that delivers high heat tolerance in a compact TO-227 package.
The Riedon™ PF2270 Series Power Film Resistors by Bourns® are engineered to provide superior power dissipation based on their thick film technology design and excellent pulse handling capabilities that offer up to 300 W of power dissipation with heatsink. The low-inductance design and high-power dissipation ratings make these power film resistors ideal solutions for industrial motor drives, power conversion, battery energy storage systems and other high-performance electronic designs.
In addition to the series’ advanced TO-227 packaging enabling operating temperatures up to +175 °C, it also offers a wide resistance value range from 100 milliohms (mΩ) to 100 kiloohms (KΩ), and resistance tolerance options of 1 percent and 5 percent. These features deliver excellent current limiting, precise current measurement and superior capacitor discharge capabilities that benefit applications where high power density support and increased reliability are needed.
