Amphenol ranked first among the world’s top 10 connector manufacturers in 2025, overtaking TE Connectivity in the latest Bishop & Associates analysis published by TTI MarketEYE.
Global connector sales reached approximately $99.16 billion, up 14.7% from 2024, while the 10 largest suppliers generated $55.65 billion in combined connector sales.
The results highlight a significant leadership change and the continuing importance of scale in the interconnect industry. For equipment manufacturers, design engineers and purchasing teams, however, the ranking is best used as a starting point for supplier evaluation—not as a substitute for application-specific qualification.
Amphenol Leads as Major Suppliers Expand
Amphenol recorded connector sales of $15.74 billion in 2025, an increase of 36.8% over the prior year. TE Connectivity followed with $14.90 billion, up 15.6%, while Molex retained third place with $5.90 billion.
According to Ronald E. Bishop’s analysis, Amphenol’s move into first place marks the first change in leadership in 45 years across the ranking’s AMP, Tyco Electronics and TE Connectivity lineage.
BizLink Technology delivered the highest reported growth rate among the 2025 top 10, increasing connector sales by 54.4% to $2.01 billion. Luxshare Precision ranked fifth, ahead of Foxconn Interconnect Technology, while Hirose Electric completed the top 10.
Top 10 Connector Manufacturers by 2025 World Sales
The following figures represent connector sales as reported in the source ranking, rather than necessarily reflecting each company’s total consolidated revenue.
| 2025 rank | Manufacturer | 2025 connector sales, USD million | Reported year-on-year growth |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Amphenol | 15,743.5 | 36.8% |
| 2 | TE Connectivity | 14,897.0 | 15.6% |
| 3 | Molex | 5,899.6 | 21.1% |
| 4 | Aptiv | 5,348.4 | 19.7% |
| 5 | Luxshare Precision | 3,290.5 | 24.5% |
| 6 | Foxconn Interconnect Technology — FIT | 2,764.1 | 12.4% |
| 7 | Yazaki | 2,345.2 | 5.9% |
| 8 | BizLink Technology | 2,010.8 | 54.4% |
| 9 | Rosenberger | 1,949.6 | 11.4% |
| 10 | Hirose Electric | 1,401.0 | 12.9% |
The combined 2025 sales of these manufacturers represented 56.1% of the worldwide connector market. The broader market nevertheless remains diverse: Bishop notes that more than 1,000 connector manufacturers operate globally, including independent companies, subsidiaries and businesses within larger industrial groups.
Consolidation Changes the Supplier Landscape
Acquisitions have played an important role in shaping the leading connector manufacturers. The analysis identifies transactions including Amphenol’s acquisitions of FCI, Conec, Positronic and Carlisle Interconnect; TE Connectivity’s acquisitions of Deutsch and ERNI; Molex’s acquisition of AirBorn; and Aptiv’s acquisition of Winchester.
These changes matter when interpreting sales rankings. Reported growth can reflect an expanded business perimeter as well as changes in underlying demand, while currency movements can also affect comparisons. A higher growth rate should therefore not automatically be interpreted as equivalent organic growth.
For buyers, consolidation also changes the meaning of supplier diversification. Two established connector brands may belong to the same corporate group, making ownership an important consideration alongside the individual product range.
What the Ranking Means for Connector Selection
The practical value of the ranking is benchmarking: it helps identify manufacturers to investigate, but does not establish which supplier offers the best connector for a particular design.
A useful evaluation combines commercial capability with the requirements of the exact interconnect:
- Product fit: Confirm that the manufacturer offers the required interface, contact arrangement, mounting method and electrical performance.
- Technical support: Assess access to drawings, samples, specifications, qualification information and application engineering.
- Supply capability: Review delivery commitments, production capacity and the ability to support future demand.
- Quality and compliance: Verify the certifications and qualification evidence relevant to the intended application.
- Long-term suitability: Consider whether the supplier can support the product through development, production and subsequent maintenance.
At component level, connector design, material selection and contact degradation mechanisms provide a more meaningful basis for reliability assessment than supplier size alone. Contact finishes, spring materials and housing design all influence whether a connector remains suitable over its operating life.
Match Supplier Capability to the Application
Global sales leadership and application leadership are not the same measure. Bishop’s research separately evaluates manufacturers by geographic region, product type and end-use market, allowing buyers to move beyond a single worldwide ranking.
For high-speed digital systems, matching connectors to protocol requirements adds another essential qualification layer. Engineers need to evaluate signal-integrity evidence, mechanical constraints, environmental suitability and the availability of protocol-specific models or test data.
A practical sourcing process therefore starts with the application, uses market rankings to build a shortlist, and then compares documented performance and supply support for the exact connector family.
Data Interpretation and Comparison Limits
The TTI article contains inconsistent 2024 comparison figures between its main sales table, historical table and narrative. In particular, the 2024 top-10 total differs between tables, affecting the interpretation of combined growth and market-share changes.
The ranking above therefore reproduces the source’s 2025 supplier figures and reported individual growth rates, without presenting a single reconciled top-10 growth rate. Historical comparisons should be checked against the underlying Bishop & Associates report before use in financial models or detailed market-share analysis.
