Connector Inrush Current Explained

Würth Elektronik podcast explains connector inrush current considerations and discusses what other values need to be considered when selecting a connector such as reasonable temperature rise and lifetime of the connector.

The working current is the maximum current that can be used for your connector at any time for any duration. For specific applications, such as motor starters and capacitance discharge, it’s recommended you use a higher current than usually accepted by the connector.
