Stackpole Offers SMD Versions of Disk Varistors

The PV Series from Stackpole offers two chip sizes, 3225 and 4032. These two sizes correspond to the equivalent five and seven millimetre disk MOV’s offering protection for circuits with working voltages ranging from 11 to 300VRMS.

The PV Series varistors are UL recognised with the capability to handle up to 30J of energy and maximum surge current ratings up to 1200A. It is also flameproof per UL 94V-0.

The PV Series is ideal for various applications, including power supplies, LED lighting, telecommunications, home appliances, utility meters, controls, protection for detectors and sensors, and touch screens.
