Bourns new high Q air coil inductors meet today’s high frequency application demands for enhanced signal filtering, efficient energy transfer and tight inductance tolerance.
Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, today announced a new air coil inductor series that features a high Q value and high self-resonant frequency.
Designed as a low energy loss solution for today’s high frequency applications, Bourns® AC1060R, AC2213R, AC3630R, AC4013R and AC6830R Series Air Coil Inductors offer significantly lower inductance values, tight inductance tolerance and operate at higher frequencies.
These new air coil inductors are wire-coil (without magnetic core) constructed, which contributes to substantially lower inductance values for excellent functionality at high frequencies. With high Q values from 87 to 145 and inductances from 1.65 to 538 nanohenries (nH), Bourns® Air Coil Inductors are ideal for a broad range of next-generation TV and radio receivers, radio transmitters and RF amplifier and tuning applications.
The series’ tight tolerance provides DC resistance from 1.1 to 90 milliohms, up to 4 A maximum rated current and has an operating temperature range from -25 to +125 °C. The air coil inductors also feature an epoxy cover for mechanical stability and to help support pick and place manufacturing automation processes.
The Bourns® AC1060R, AC2213R, AC3630R, AC4013R and AC6830R Series Air Coil Inductors are available now and are RoHS compliant.
