Exxelia Presents Smart Integrated Magnetics Solution at Space Tech Expo 2025

Exxelia will be highlighting its latest innovation in magnetic components: the Smart Integrated Magnetics Solution, an integrated transformer + inductor for Dual Active Bridge (DAB) converters, alongside its otherwise well-know space qualified product portfolio of capacitors, inductors, EMI-filters and resistors in Space Tech Expo 2025.

Exxelia, a global designer and manufacturer of passive components and position sensors for high-reliability applications, will participate in Space Tech Expo Europe 2025, held in Bremen, Germany, from November 18 to 20, 2025. Exxelia will be present on booth F11.

Smart Integrated Magnetics: Optimizing Efficiency and Integration for Space Power Systems

Developed to meet the increasing demand for compact and efficient power architectures in satellite and launcher applications, Exxelia’s Smart Integrated Magnetics Solution combines a high-frequency transformer and a inductor in a single, optimized design. This integration allows to reduce system volume and improves power density reaching up to 60W/cm3.

Manufactured using optimized winding geometries and magnetic cores, these components deliver high efficient solutions and well controlled inductance value with low tolerance.

The Smart Integrated Magnetics components are specifically designed for topologies like Dual Active Bridge (DAB), Phase Shift Full Bridge transformers LLC or coupled inductors.  Ideal for application:  PPU, PCDU, BCR/BDR

Supporting ESA’s New Component Classification Framework

We’ll also be at Space Tech Expo Europe 2025 to discuss the latest evolutions in space-grade component standards.

As the European Space Agency (ESA) transitions to the new ECSS Next-Generation mission classification system, which reduces the number of classes from five to four (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta), we’re proactively aligning our product portfolio.

Our first step aims to qualify several Capacitor Technology Flows and propose qualified custom design solutions within the QML framework.

We’re also adapting our extensive range of capacitor technologies to meet the new “Enhanced Grade” (EG) COTS+ category under the revised EPPL list.
This evolution ensures that our partners have access to a versatile and reliable component selection, perfectly suited to the specific risk and cost requirements of every mission—from critical Alpha projects to fast, low-criticality Delta demonstrations.

At Space Tech Expo Europe 2025 (Bremen, Germany), Exxelia will be available to discuss ongoing developments in Smart Integrated Magnetics as well as the company’s roadmap for space-qualified capacitors, resistors and EMI-filters.
